For the last few years we held a memorial service on Armed Forces Day to honor the
diversity of patients buried in the cemeteries. The last few years have seen us celebrate
veterans, religions and counties of Ohio.
This year we celebrated the first generation immigrants buried in the cemeteries
and had members of German, Swiss, Polish, Hungarian, Irish and English communities
attend and celebrate with us.
This year's event was held Saturday May 19 at the old cemetery with speakers and
a dedication to the countries of those first generation immigrants buried in the
cemeteries. Swiss and Irish singers provided accompaniment.
The keynote speaker was Brett Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, Northwest Ohio Psychiatric
